GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies has created a new instrument calibration management portal, which can be accessed free-of-charge by users of GE’s aluminium oxide moisture probes. The on-line web portal will help probe users, technicians and metrologists to achieve more efficient and effective organization of moisture probe data. It will also allow the printing of calibration data sheets and will provide notification of future recommended calibration dates.

Groby, Leics, UK. – 5 August, 2008. GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies has received a significant order for the supply of flare gas flow metering systems for the Pearl GTL project in Qatar. The order for GF868 digital ultrasonic flowmetering systems, comprising flare transmitters, transducers and flowcells, was placed by MW Kellogg, on behalf of Qatar Shell GTL Ltd. This order follows a similar order placed for another section of Qatar’sNorth Field.

Moisture measurement in low parts-per-billion measurement ranges for ultra-high purity (UHP) gases is critical to a variety of semiconductor, LCD, and other manufacturing processes. HygroTrace uses a newly patented technique to provide accurate and reliable measurement for 0-100 PPB moisture levels with the sensitivity and speed of response matched only by current technology analyzers that are much larger in size and more expensive in price. Typical semiconductor applications include measurement of moisture in UHP gas delivery and distribution systems and point-of-use moisture measurement protection.

The instrument is a high-accuracy, multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter specifically geared to the fiscal custody-transfer of natural gas even at non-ideal conditions when dealing with liquid carry over and built up.
