Brian C. Palmer is President & CEO of GE Measurement & Control Solutions (and Vice President of GE Energy), a GE Energy business that provides solutions to the power generation, oil and gas, and petrochemical industries to maximize the economic performance of operating assets through data collection, information management, decision support, and control expertise. He took this role in 2002 and moved to Minden, NV.

Brian joined GE in 1985 and since that time he has held a number of leadership positions in the Energy business in engineering, new product introductions, and marketing. In 1998, Brian became the general manager for global power plant installations and in 2001 he relocated to Minden, NV to serve as president for Bently Nevada™, a GE Energy acquisition. Brian was subsequently named general manager, Optimization and Control, and in 2007 was named a GE corporate officer.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining GE, he served as a design and construction engineer for C.T. Main, a Boston-based engineering firm.
